Group Study Exchange

The Rotary Foundation’s Group Study Exchange (GSE) program is a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for businesspeople and professionals between the ages of 25 and 40 who are in the early stages of their careers.

The program provides travel grants for teams to exchange visits in paired areas of different countries. For four weeks, team members experience the host country’s culture and institutions, observe how their vocations are practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships, and exchange ideas.

Since 1991, Rotary District 6930 (50 clubs from Boca to Titusville) has exchanged GSE teams with Brazil, Ireland, Sweden, Laos, England, Polynesia, Botswana, Philippines, Japan, Netherlands, Italy, India, Ukraine and South Korea.

Since the program’s inception in 1965, the Rotary Foundation has invested $110 million worldwide sending 69,000 professionals in 14,674 teams to 104 countries, all to further the Foundation’s goal of building world understanding and better communication between peoples from different cultures.
