Josh the Otter is a water safety and drown-prevention program created in memory of Josh Collingsworth, a two year old little boy who drowned in his family pool.
Many clubs in our district have partnered with Josh the Otter program to spread the word to young children with one key safety statement: Stay away from water unless accompanied by an adult.
They go into kindergartens and day care centers share the message by reading the Josh the Otter book, and bringing a club member wearing the Josh the Otter costume which the kids love! To learn more please visit the website www.joshtheotter.org
